Health Assistant Application

Congratulations on applying to be a member of the Team LC Health Staff!

To keep Lauren staffed with the highest quality of people, there are several steps to the application process.

Step 1:  Complete and submit this application with references and work history included.

Step 2: Within 10 days of application submission, Lauren or a Team LC staff member will contact you to inform you if you have advanced to the next step, which is an initial interview. The initial interview will be scheduled via email by a member of Team LC who will conduct the interview either virtually or in person.

Step 3: Within 10 days of your initial interview, you will be notified if you have advanced to the next stage, an in-person interview with Lauren. You will receive an email with date and time options as well as a location.

Step 4: Within 10 days of your in-person interview, Lauren or a Team LC staff member will notify you regarding Lauren’s employment decision.

Step 5: If you make it through each of these steps, congratulations! You will need to schedule a background check with The Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services (MDRS), which is the agency that serves as a co-employer of Lauren’s staff. Should you make it to this step, you will be instructed on how to complete it.

Step 6: After your background check comes back and you fulfill all of the MDRS requirements (online training), you will be scheduled for your first shift. You will be certified by Lauren’s MDRS counselor at that time. The first 2-3 weeks of employment with Lauren will be completed on a trial basis. You will be fully compensated for your work during the trial period.

A few things to note:

  • Job openings are first come, first serve. Therefore, we ask that you do your part to complete each step efficiently. The 10 days between each step represents the maximum amount of time that Team LC will respond. The sooner you move through these steps, the faster we can decide if you will be a good fit on Team LC and if Team LC will be a good fit for you!

  • If there are any emergencies or uncontrollable circumstances that arise during your application process, inform Lauren and her team via email. Lauren is willing to work with you as circumstances allow.

  • Each step is dependent on you passing through the prior step. Submitting an application does not guarantee you a spot on Team LC, nor does it guarantee you either the first or second interview. Lauren ultimately has the ability to choose who she feels will be an asset to Team LC and her life.

  • Should you be hired, you will complete an online certification course that will be emailed to you by MDRS. After you complete the course, you will attend a brief certification meeting led by Lauren’s MDRS counselor at Lauren’s home. Next, you will begin training and enter a 2-3 week trial period. The purpose of the trial period is for Lauren and you to ensure that Team LC is the best fit for you. You will be fully compensated for your work during the trial period. At the end of the trial period, Lauren will have a conversation with you about your future on Team LC!

To apply, complete & submit the following form:

Prior to beginning the application, please review the Lauren's Projects & Special Roles section of the Job Description. The Job Description can be found under the Team LC tab. In the application you will be asked about the Lauren’s Projects & Special Roles section.

*The Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation (MDRS) does not pay for project management. However, it is a key component of Lauren’s life. You will not be penalized for marking that you are not interested in working on/managing any of the projects, but Lauren will select the applicants that she feels will be the biggest asset to her life and team. There’s no guarantee that the project(s) you are most interested in will be the one(s) you are assigned.*
