Meet The Team
Whitney Miller
Hi! I’m from Wiggins, MS. I work as a physical therapy assistant and a substitute teacher in addition to working on Team LC, so I am only able to join the Compere family every few weeks or months. Still, the time I do share with the Comperes is priceless. Each trip allows me to spend time with a great friend. Working on Team LC has given me the opportunity to hone multiple skill sets that I either did not have or needed to improve. This job has also been good for me in that I have gained a better understanding and view of “life touched by disability” from a person who doesn’t operate with a victim mentality. It’s great having a boss that I can trust, who has been unbelievably gracious, kind, and flexible.
Birkie Hughes
Hi, my name is Birkie Hughes. I became a part of Team LC in the summer of 2023. I am from Ocean Springs, MS and a current student at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. I am studying Public Health and pre PA with a career goal and internal calling to become a Physician Assistant. I have a continuing passion to help others through not only medical needs, but in every day life. Lauren has given me the opportunity to expand my skills, knowledge, awareness, and preparedness for my future occupation. I am beyond grateful for Lauren, her family, and the Team LC staff.
Hallie Martin
Hey, my name is Hallie Martin. I am from Brandon, MS and became a part of Team LC in the summer of 2023. Having a passion to go into the medical field from an early age, I am currently attending Mississippi College as a nursing student. Joining Lauren’s team and seeing first hand, the positive impact you can have on someone else’s life has expanded my own desire to serve others to the best of my ability. Working side by side with Lauren, her family, and the rest of the Team LC staff has been one of the most rewarding, fulfilling experiences. Furthermore, it is preparing me for my future career plans and education.
Aspen Powell
Hello! I am from Huntsville, Alabama, but I currently live in Jackson, MS, as a student at Belhaven University studying Sports Medicine and Exercise Science. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Lauren. I intend to pursue a career in Physical Therapy, and the experience I gain working for Lauren is so beneficial. I am able to grow in my social networking skills, therapy techniques, problem-solving, and medical care. Team LC is such a positive and loving environment, and I love working for Lauren, who is a patient, favorable, and flexible boss. The community at Team LC is so encouraging and it is a blessing to work for them!
Alana Andrus
Hi, my name is Alana Andrus, and I'm from Ocean Springs, MS! I recently graduated from UMMC's Accelerated BSN program in Oxford after finishing my Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Mississippi in 2022. I currently work as a nurse, and I love to paint, play violin, and hike in my free time. I love Lauren because she doesn't let anything stand in her way of sharing her joy with other people.
Brittany Baugh
My name is Brittany Baugh and I am a returning employee to Team LC. I originally started in early 2019 and worked up until June of 2020, but life took me in a different direction for a while, but now I’ve started back as of Summer 2023. I’ve begun my path in the medical field and hope to bring my knowledge from my time here forward as I pursue my MD.
